I'm José Francisco Criado!

My name is José Francisco Criado Sánchez, and I am a local lawyer based in Marbella, with experience across Spain. Most of my clients are currently located in Marbella and Ibiza.

I come from a dynasty of local lawyers. My father founded our family firm in 1965, specializing in real estate law and speaking three languages. Today, my brother Alejandro — one of Spain’s leading experts in planning law, a university lecturer, and Doctor of Law — and I continue our family’s legal tradition.

I began my career as a litigation lawyer, but after several years I decided to leave courtroom work and focus on property law, where I could use my language skills to assist foreign clients in purchasing property in Spain. I opened my own law firm in 2000 to specialize in this field.

Over the years, I have managed offices in several jurisdictions across Spain, including Marbella, Estepona, Málaga East, and Ibiza, as well as an international branch in Natal, Brazil.

At this point in my career, at 55 years old, it is time to reduce the number of offices, employees, cases, and trips and give all my time, efforts, and passion to an exclusive, reduced group of clients.
